... in Kyoto, Japan.

Kyoto is located in Kansai south province of Japan and roughly an hour from Osaka .There are so many temples and sight seing spots in Kyoto that it would take dozens of pictures to have a representative idea of the whole area.... I only introduce hereunder few spots & pictures I prefered.

Kyoto was the capital of Japan for about 1000 years, from its establishments as Heian Kyo in 794 until the transfert of government in Tokyo in 1868 following the Imperial Restoration. Surrounded by beautiful hills, Kyoto with its poetry reflects the danging of the seasons, and has provided over the last twelve centuries a natural cradle for the art and culture of Japan, and a noble heritage to its people. For this reason, Kyoto is known as the spiritual home of the Japanese people. It is said that without knowing Kyoto, it is impossible to understand the real Japan. Kyoto is today a modern city anxious to develop a renewed culture based on a precious inheritance of its past glory.
